Model: D215P-1RW · white
Indoor 120 V Wi-Fi plug-in switch for lamps and supported small appliances. Rated 15 A general use, 5 A LED/CFL and 1500 W incandescent/halogen. Matter may require a firmware update through My Leviton and a compatible Matter controller; the native My Leviton Wi-Fi connection does not require a separate Leviton hub.

Indoor use only
Read the limitationsWhat to know about this device before choosing a connection.
Recorded catalog fit tags; check the route requirements before treating this as a match.
Retail consumer packaging SKU. Rated 15A general use, 5A LED/CFL/electronic ballast, 1500W incandescent/halogen, 15A magnetic ballast, and 3/4 HP motor. Plug-in smart switch, no hub required, Wi-Fi and Matter certified, two-year limited warranty. Reviewed manufacturer clarification (2026-10-18): 120 V AC, 60 Hz; indoor use in a non-switched receptacle. The 1500 W rating is for incandescent/halogen loads, not a universal appliance rating. The manufacturer prohibits using this device to control high-power heating appliances. Matter setup uses a compatible Matter controller and may first require a firmware update in My Leviton; the no-hub claim applies to the native Wi-Fi/app path. No new Home Assistant integration or hardware test is claimed.
A catalog update is not a new verification. Regional and firmware scope are recorded separately for each route.
Check your ecosystem, then choose a connection method for its requirements and available controls.
A listed ecosystem is a starting point. Connection methods and exposed capabilities must be checked for the exact variant.

This guide begins after Matter has been enabled on the actual unit. It does not cover firmware conversion or assume a retail unit is Matter-ready. If Matter readiness or the code cannot be confirmed, stop and follow current manufacturer guidance.

Follow each load-specific rating in the manual; general-use current is 15 A at 120 VAC. Do not use for high-power heating appliances, including portable heaters. Use a non-switched receptacle and observe all manual restrictions.
Derived from documentation
Confirm model D215P-1RW, Matter-enabled firmware and the Matter commissioning code before proceeding. Do not update or reset a working installation merely to follow this route.

In the Companion app Matter setup, choose new and scan the Matter code. If already commissioned, use its current controller to generate a fresh sharing code instead of reusing the original code.

After commissioning, test on/off using a compatible, safe lamp before relying on control or automations. Confirm actual exposed controls; do not assume entity names or optional features.
Derived from documentation
Inferred from Leviton's documented on/off and direct Matter setup plus Home Assistant's Matter controller documentation. This is not an exact-model hardware test; verify operation after commissioning.
